Day 17: Living by Faith, Not by Feelings
Scripture: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
Reflection: Faith calls us to trust in God’s promises, even when our feelings or circumstances suggest otherwise. Walking by faith means relying on God’s truth over what we see or feel. While emotions can fluctuate, faith remains constant, anchored in the unchanging nature of God. It is through faith, not feelings, that we experience His peace, guidance, and provision.
Living by faith is about choosing to trust God’s character and His Word, no matter our situation. When we feel anxious or uncertain, faith reminds us of His presence and His power. This trust becomes our foundation, allowing us to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and hope. As we place our faith in Him, we find stability and strength that transcends our circumstances.
Walking by faith requires intentional focus on God’s promises. By cultivating a habit of turning to Him in prayer, reading His Word, and recalling His faithfulness, we learn to rely on His truth above all else. This trust in Him grows over time, enabling us to live with peace and joy, even when we don’t fully understand the journey.
Prayer: Lord, help me walk by faith, trusting in Your promises and resting in Your unchanging love. Amen.
