SEE THE MOUNTAIN AS A PLATFORM WHERE GOD WILL BUILD HIS PURPOSE IN YOUR LIFE.

A daily devotional moment by Chris Garcia

Zechariah 4:6–7 (NKJV):

So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!

The mountains become the plains before the priests. This is true spiritual warfare. It is not by your formulas. Not by your technique or your own knowledge of what you think you should do. It is by worshiping the presence of Almighty God. It is by the Holy Spirit that the great mountain shall become a plain. You shall bring forth a capstone of shouts of grace to the mountain. When the mountain becomes a plain, the Spirit is the one who completes this. Where that mountain was, now becomes a desolate plain in which God's purposes for you are performed. Instead of looking at the mountain as a problem, look at the mountain as the platform from which God will use to build the purpose in your life. So enter in with shouts of grace. For who is the capstone? But the Cornerstone, Jesus Christ Himself.

Listening to "Fresh Oil", this morning I was touched (more convicted) by your comments on holding bitterness within from past betrayals of those who were supposed to love me. Your words helped me understand that these "betrayals" may have been meant for ill, but God uses them to develop patience and forgiveness in my heart. I am to handle betrayals and cruelty, BEING A CHILD OF GOD, the way Christ handled them. I have trouble with the "Joy" part, but perspective will deal with that. Thank you for your message of Mar. 30. I am repenting and praising God for the opportunity to Grow through "Understanding". Thank you for the message. I fear we will need it even …
